Pool Construction Process

Enquiry

This is the stage where you touch base with us, via email, phone, Facebook or would come in and meet with one of our friendly staff at our Display Centre.

Site Visit

This is where Mick will come to your home to discuss your pool requirements, check access points and restrictions and to help design your dream swimming pool

Quote

We provide you with a no obligation free quotation for your perusal.

Contract

Upon acceptance of our quote, we draw up a swimming pool contract.

Box and Steel

Once your pool is excavated, our box and steel crew come in and box your pool, then carefully place steel as per the engineers design. Pre-plumb pipe work is also placed in final location. An independent licensed inspector will make sure that the founding and steel work is in accordance with engineer’s specifications. Once this has been approved, we can go on with the next stage of construction.

Excavation

Once we have your swimming pool approval back, we contact you to arrange a date for Excavation of your swimming pool. Generally, we require you to be at home of the morning of the dig to finalise pool location, step and bench configurations.

Building Approval and Engineering

Once the deposit has been received, your plans are sent to our engineer and certifier for your swimming pool approval. This process can take 1 – 14 business days for a standard approval. If a Development Approval is required, it can take 4-8 weeks.

Deposit

Once the contract is signed the deposit invoice is issued. This amount is 5% of your total contract value.

Concrete Shell

Once your pool is formed and inspected, the shotcretors come in and shotcrete and shape your swimming pool. This is usually an exciting time for many as they see how their design takes shape! The concrete shell should cure a minimum 21 days.

Plumbing

Once your concrete shell has been sprayed, the swimming pool boxing is stripped and your plumbing is ran to your final filter location.

Coping Tiles

The first step is to top up or render the pool’s concrete shell to achieve your desired finish heights. Your chosen coping tiles can now be applied.

Filtration

Installation of your pump, filter and chlorinator take place.

Handover

Amic Pools proudly hands over your new Amic Pool to you. We show you how to use your swimming pool equipment, give you hints and tips on how to take care of your swimming pool.

Commissioning

We start the pool up, clean the pool, balance the pool to Australian Standards and prepare to handover to you.

Interior

Your interior is applied in your chosen colour choice. Get excited! We’re so close!!

Interior Prep

Your interior is cleaned and ready for our interior crew to apply your interior. Some fittings will be left onsite for the interior crew to do their final fit off when required.

Aftercare service

Our sister company Magnatech Pool Centre provides free water testing instore or we can service your swimming pool as regularly as you’d like
